Is a Snowsports Career Calling?
From 10am – 4pm you can speak to Industry professionals and BASI trainers to learn how becoming a snowsports instructor can help you land your dream job.
Our BASI ski instructor courses are perfect for gap years, career breaks and career progression and as a BASI recognised partner we will be at the jobs fair to find a programme to suit you.
Who are BASI?
The British Association of Snowsports Instructors is the UK national governing body of ski and snowboard instructors. BASI qualifications allow you to teach as a ski or snowboard instructor, a BASI licence is recognised all over the world and is a great option for those who want to make a career out of being a snowsports instructor – many Winter Sports Company clients have spent season after season globe-trotting as a BASI level 2 ski instructor before progressing towards level 3.
Gap Year Friendly?
One of the many questions we’re asked is ‘Is a ski instructor course a good choice for a gap year?’ and quite simply, the answer is ‘Yes’.
Not only will you have the time of your life with like-minded people learning to be a ski instructor, once qualified you’ll have an internationally recognised qualification. Most our gap years students are heading to university and use their qualifications to teach at one of the many UK indoor ski slopes. We have many industry contacts who are looking for ski instructors during the peak weeks of christmas, half term and easter – which means you can get paid to teach during university holidays!
We’ll be at the BASI jobs fair to discuss course options, answer questions and chat about ski instructor courses. The fair runs from 10am – 4pm on Saturday 10th September 2016.
