The Course was excellent! There was enough course content to keep me busy and to work hard but when we weren’t training we were enjoying the fantastic ski resort of Courmayeur, with enough ski area to be able to find some fresh powder daily along with the town itself I can’t think of many other places I would have rather spent the season.

I enjoyed every minute of the course. My knowledge of skiing, skiing ability and the amount of experience I have gained have all improved massively! I was very fortunate to have an awesome group of people on the course with me as well who helped me if I struggled planning a lesson or if I didn’t understand something in the classroom. The amount of skiing terminology, interesting stories from other Instructors and of course the amount of fun I had can not be put into words.

We were very fortunate when it came to training as we had an excellent coach in or around the area very frequently who managed to answer all of my questions and of course helped me through passing my level 2 exam. Without him I think it’s safe to say a lot of us on the course may not have a BASI level 2 license.

I cannot complain about the accommodation, as with it being only a 5 minute walk from the lifts, and a 10 minute walk to town it was ideal for spending the season in. The food was decent, however I didn’t realize just how much pasta the Italians ate as it was a starter for 6 out of 7 days a week but on the whole the food kept me full and I always asked for seconds.

Working for Interski was very enjoyable, as they don’t employ Instructors for the entire season, new faces would turn up weekly meaning conversations never got boring. We were well looked after by Interski and the amount of work and effort required just to make sure one single week of the season ran smoothly over 3 resorts with 100’s of kids and a load of Instructors was extremely impressive. They do a very good job out there, so much so that I have applied to work for them for the first week of the 14/15 season.

The support we received from WSC before the course was good, with info packages and emails from them regularly I left the UK headed for Italy feeling comfortable that I was in good hands.

Whilst the course was commencing WSC was constantly in the resort with us so if we had any questions or any issues we knew exactly who to go to. After the course I still received emails from WSC which made me secure in the sense that they were interested in what I have been up to since returning from Italy.
