The Internship Programme:
• Fly out November 2012
• Intensive 3 weeks of training with experienced Canadian Instructors
• Accommodation provided during training (three weeks)
• Food (2 meals a day) provided during training (three weeks)
• Canadian CSIA Level 1 Qualification undertaken at the end of training period
• Successful interns with Level 1 qualifications will be offered work by Sun Peaks or Edmonton Ski School
• Once working as an instructor, interns will receive payment for all lessons taught
• After training period all accommodation and food will be responsibility of intern
• Snow School will offer accommodation at a reasonable rate and interns can share with fellow instructors
• Interns will receive on going training and instruction from Snow School throughout the season whilst they work
• Interns will be encouraged to take internationally recognised CSIA Level 2 by end of March.
• In April interns can either fly back to the UK or stay on in Canada

• Successful telephone interview with Snow School director
If you do not already have a Canadian visa, they are available for 18–30 year olds and take approximately 8 weeks from application at a cost of approx £100.

Includes accommodation during training, food during training (2 meals/day – 7 days/week), instructor training, season lift pass, course hand book, video analysis, CSIA level 1 exam and CSIA membership.

The work at each resort will vary. At Sun Peaks Resort the work will include teaching 3 - 12 year olds on the nursery slopes, beginner adults and some all mountain teaching.
The work at Edmonton will be varied.
Full-time hours (not always ski teaching) approximately 33 hours per week + schools (usually after Christmas), Christmas camps are Monday to Friday and duty can be anywhere up to 12 hours on three days, same with schools. You must be prepared to put these hours in, overtime is paid once over 44 hours per week.
Non-teaching hours, working in areas such as rentals, lift operations, guest services etc include a meal on duty.
Teaching will be paid at an hourly rate and includes a meal on duty.
Accommodation will be provided by both ski schools at a monthly rate.
