Ski from your hotel door on our 11 week Ski Instructor Courses
Spend a season in The Canadian Rockies and enjoy our “all inclusive” 11 week ski instructor course. Panorama is one of the most dramatic resorts in Canada so you can enjoy day upon day of endless skiing on some of the most amazing terrain in the world.
The experience of a lifetime starts January 2015
The CSIA Level 1 and Level 2 ski instructor exams are included in the Panorama 11 week ski instructor course. We also provide you with a resort credit card and we top it up with $160 every week so you can eat at a variety of cafes and restaurants at discounted prices throughout the season. You can also use the card in the local bars and grocery store.
You will ski from your hotel door and training will be by some of Canada’s best level 4 ski instructors. Tuition is for 6 hours each day and you will spend at least one day/week working with ski school gaining all the teaching skills you require.
Within weeks you will be skiing the steep powder bowls with confidence, riding the moguls like an Olympic athlete and racing the gates with the style any instructor would be proud of.
Panorama Ski School
Success comes from the quality and consistency of the training provided and Jason Simpson (Ski school director) sets very high standards.
Jason employs some of Canada’s best Level 4 ski instructors who are also level 2 course examiners. When you are being trained by a course examiner you know the standards required are well within reach.
The day after your arrival you have an equipment and resort familiarisation day followed by a welcome banquet.
The next day your ski instructor training course begins and within 3 or 4 weeks you will be ready for the CSIA level 1 exam.
Ski instructor shadowing follows and then its level 2 training. We take the odd break for those who want go Heli Skiing or do an avalanche course. We also provide a first aid course and for those heavy into carving we lay on a CSCF race coaching programme.
Interviews, CV’s and working visa’s are also important and we are always available to assist with all three.
Panorama has it all. Great Terrain, Incredible snow, Hotel on the slopes, High level ski instruction, bars, cafes, restaurants and the vibrant town of Invermere 20 minutes away.
Panorama Mountain Village is an ideal resort for any ski instructor training course, and we are delighted to have an exclusive agreement to run our ski instructor courses here.
The ski in – ski out facilities are second to none and living in a ski resort environment for a full season really does give you an all mountain experience. There are plenty of bars, restaurants and cafes to keep you entertained throughout the week and if you want to experience a little more at the weekends you can take a trip to Invermere – accessed by a FREE regular bus service.
You will be staying at the three star Pine Inn Hotel for the duration of your stay.
The hotel has recently been refurbished and all rooms are en-suite with tea/coffee making facilities, wifi flat screen tv and phone. Other facilities include a sauna, gym and outdoor hot tub.
Breakfast and Evening Meals – On and off the mountain
Our meal plan at Panorama is ideal for anyone who likes to choose when and where they like to eat.
We provide you with a resort credit card and load it with $160 every week. There is a wide variety of cafes, bars and restaurants where you can eat and all of them offer a good discount to The Winter Sports Company guests.
If you miss breakfast or eat out of town one day it doesn’t matter. Your card still has the credit and if you want to top it up and take advantage of the discounts you can. You can even have breakfast at the Summit Hut or buy a round of drinks with it.
Working Within the Winter Sports Industry
Supporting clients to find work in the industry
For those who are serious about finding employment in the winter sports industry, we provide on-going support both during and after our ski instructor training courses. Some of our previous clients have found ski instructor positions in Japan, Europe, New Zealand, Canada and the snow dome in Dubai.
Adaptive Sports Qualification
A great addition to your CV
For those who are interested we run a certified 3 day course that teaches you how to use equipment designed for those with disabilities. This course has proved to be one of the most enjoyable modules of our 11 week ski instructor training course.
Working with Ski Patrol
Work experience with ski patrol
Everyone on our 11 week ski instructor course gets the opportunity to work with Ski Patrol. Our clients claim this is one of the best experiences on the course. They come back with a better understanding of what goes on behind the scenes in a ski resort and are exhilarated by the drama of being part of the mountain’s first emergency service.
Equipment – Skis and Boots
Professional ski instructors buy equipment at the beginning of the season at “Pro-Deal” prices. The Winter Sports Company are happy to find similar deals for all our clients on any of our ski instructor courses. Give us a call. 01736 763402.
