Become a ski instructor in 3 weeks!

Become a ski instructor on our 3 week course. The programme starts in November and is ideal for the more confident skier. The course completes in December so you can be home for Christmas and be teaching in the new year.

This short instructor course leads to the CSIA Level 1 qualification. An intensive three weeks of training will radically improve your skiing ability – and at the finish you can walk away as a certified ski instructor.

All our courses take place at Sun Peaks Resort, Canada, where you will stay in 4* accommodation at the Hearthstone Lodge. As the slopes are right outside your doorstep, you do not waste any time during your three week stay travelling to and from the ski area.

This programme is designed for skiers who can only get a limited time off work. To become a ski instructor in such a short time requires a degree of dedication and committment to the course. With your fellow trainees you will work hard and play hard. This is the holdiay of a lifetime. Achievement, fun and ski improvement condensed into 21 days.

To become a ski instructor in 4 to 5 weeks you must be able to ski European blue runs.

Your instructors will strip away all your bad habits (if you have any) and replace them with the skills needed to improve your skiing. Once you have perfected the basics you will be ready to tackle powder, steeps and moguls with confidence – and take the CSIA Level 1 ski instructor exam!

On this extended holiday we ensure you are able to relax comfortably in 4* accommodation at the Hearthstone Lodge. We also organise all breakfast and evening meals at quality and cosy restaurants. With so little to worry about, our clients can focus on their course and become a ski instructor in 4 to 5 weeks.

No bus to the ski slopes, Ski-in, ski-out!

Sun Peaks Resort is a ski-in and ski-out village. So unlike other ski instructor courses, where you have a bus ride to and from the slopes every day – the sports school and your early morning lesson is just minutes from your door.

Three mountains lead into the village of Sun Peaks Resort. This is a massive and challenging ski area with a variety of terrain from cruiser greens to double diamond blacks. Off piste there are bowls of fresh untouched champagne powder and the snow record is unrivalled! 6 metres last year!

And to feel a part of the team at Sun Peaks Resort, you are invited to spend a day with their Ski Patrol and take a ride on their piste groomers.

And after a day on the slopes…….

Free time and fun!

If you still have the energy …. Sun Peaks Resort rocks.

Your accommodation at the Hearthstone Lodge is situated right on the slopes. So after a day on your ski instructor course you can wind down in their hot tubs, work out in their gym or catch up with the world on free Wi Fi in your own room.

If you want to meet up with your fellow trainees and friends there are many bars in the resort. ‘Bottoms’ is a favourite with our clients for a drink after training. And on a Friday night most meet up at ‘Massa’s’ to watch videos of themselves competing in the local, weekly race series.

Want to carry on skiing when the sun goes down? There is a floodlit park right opposite your hotel.

Not enough? You can swim in the heated open air pool, ice skate, tube ride the lower slopes, play ice hockey, and take part in local events such as the Winter Wine Festival.

And at a weekend? Why not try dog sledding, snowmobiling, nordic skiing or take a trip to the nearest city, Kamloops, where you can watch major league ice hockey, do a spot of shopping or party in one of the many nightclubs?

Comfort is important when you take part on a ski instructor course. The four star, en-suite accommodation at the Hearthstone Lodge has kitchen facilities, free wifi in every room and is only 50 metres from the nearest lift.

This 3 day course teaches the use of equipment designed for those with disabilities. It  has proved to be one of the most enjoyable modules of our 4 -5 week ski instructor courses. This option is not avaliable on our short, 3 week instructor course.

Everyone on our ski instructor courses get the opportunity to work with Ski Patrol. Our clients claim this is one of the best experiences on the course.
