BASI Level 1 and 2 Ski Instructor Courses – Courmayeur
An early start in December gave us 12 fantastic blue bird days. It was like spring skiing and the groomed slopes were amazing.
Training was pretty much full on and by early January we had 10 BASI level 1 ski instructors.
Training and shadowing continues throughout January and with the humongous amounts of snow arriving on a regular basis we all had an amazing time skiing the deep powder bowls, trees and steeps – Great fun and ideal practice for stance, balance and skiing technique.
The BASI level 2 ski instructor course exam is fast approaching and everyone is working hard to reach the standards required.
There’s apprehension and excitement in the camp as all successful clients will receive full time paid work at a number of resorts within the Aosta Valley.
La Thuile, Pila, Champoluc and Courmayeur are all available and working at either is great stepping stone for anyone starting a career working within the winter sports industry.
Good luck to Alistair, Andrii, Chris, Euan, Joe, Joss, Kate, Megan, Tom, Stuart for their BASI Level 2 exams, and well done to Jodie and Alistair who left us after the BASI level 1 exams.
