On Piste Technical Training
Technical specialised training designed for Winter Sports by Level 4 instructors and evaluators. On Snow Training is provided by CSIA level 3 & 4 instructors and CSGA guides. A season pass will allow you full access to the mountain through and beyond your course in case you want to stay on for longer. On piste training will start to build your confidence in the early days of this course.
Off Piste Tactical Training
This week is consolidating your skills before moving onto off piste conditions. Gain tactics and tools for developing off piste skiing skills in a variety of environments. Develop terrain adaptation and awareness in a changing mountain environment and understand steep terrain, deep snow, glades, ungroomed conditions, bumps, low visibility conditions.
Intro to backcountry touring
Learn about snow safety, and equipment familiarisation to prepare for your guided basic backcountry tour. Further into the course you will develop techniques to understand terrain assessment, hazard analysis and trip planning. More guided backcountry tours and a heli warm up in preparation for your bolt ons.
Additional Training Option
Further certifications or experiences are available throughout the programme. Including Avalanche Skills Training, Heli-ski and overnight stays in a backcountry lodge
Snow Ready Fitness Plan
One of the most vital elements for your success is fitness. Created for the Winter Sports by a Personal Trainer, Sports Therapist, and Nutrition Coach, this 8-week pre-season programme targets the muscle groups used in skiing & snowboarding. It will make sure you are shredded & snow-fit in time for the start of your course.
