Our 18 week ski instructor programme was developed with flexibility in mind. Many skiers want to spend an entire winter in the mountains, and a season-long ski instructor course enables you to do just that.

Ski Instructor training isn't always 'one size fits all', and an 18 week course can be tailored to your requirements. In one season you can choose to:

  • Train to Level 3 ski instructor standard
  • Gain dual qualifications in skiing and snowboarding
  • Take a leisurely approach to attaining CSIA Levels 1 and 2 ski instructor qualifications

Course Schedule

Flying out in November, you’ll be amazed at the amount of early snow in Canada and enjoy early-season skiing before most resorts in Europe have opened. Training begins a couple of days after arrival, and being an early bird on the slopes means you won’t have to share the mountains with hundreds of people. You can learn the terrain, get to meet the locals and settle in to enjoy an unforgettable white Christmas. We encourage you to select your own approach to training, so you’re able to progress as fast or as slowly as you want. Once you’ve passed your Level 1 skiing instructor course, you’re free to develop your talents and continue to enjoy the resort.

The snow school at Sun Peaks Resort is a centre for instructor training and attracts some of the best CSIA level 4 instructors in the country.

The 18 week programme offers the widest variety of options and the maximum potential for gaining several qualifications in just one season. This unique season-long course is an ideal option for gap years, career breaks and instructors looking to start-out in the industry. The long season, huge ski area and friendly resort atmosphere will capture your heart - it's not a coincidence that many customers return to work there each year.

A picturesque ski-in ski-out resort, with the second largest ski area in Canada.
Enjoy 3 mountains of gladed areas, bumps, steeps, powder, long cruisers, terrain parks and 2 Alpine bowls across 4270 acres.
