Off Piste Heli-
A once-in-a-lifetime heli skiing adventure in Canada
Prepare to dare – our signature adventure is the incredible off-piste heli skiing holiday in Panorama. This holiday gives you the best of both worlds – an idyllic resort with 3 days of heli skiing in the champagne powder of the Purcell Mountains.
Extreme holidays need extreme R&R! Our heliboarding and heliskiing holidays are based at Panorama Mountain Resort, where you’ll stay at one of the slope-side hotels, The Tamarack or Ski Tip Lodge. Part of the amazing, Alpine-style mountain village, nestled high in Canada’s Purcell Mountains – it is the perfect jump-off point for heli-skiing. Heli sports demand some serious adrenaline, and there’s nowhere better to bring your heart rate back down than in the world famous Panorama Springs outdoor hot pools.
The heli-ski experience will be the highlight of your holiday, the Purcell mountains have some of the tallest mountains in British Columbia. The flight alone is as exciting as skiing the powder, your heart will be beating with excitement and anticipation as you step out and take in the view.
With 3 days of heli included you’ll get to experience the best powder of exclusive heli-only zones. Whether you are brand new to heli-skiing/boarding or a seasoned powder pro – your expert guide will take you on runs suited to your ability and experience.
Heli first timer? This holiday is the ideal way to dip your toe in the snow! The experienced heli-guides recommend a minimum standard of European red and black runs and you’ll always be matched with people of a similar ability and experience. We can also arrange heli-ski preparation lessons in Panorama, to prepare you for your heli-days.
It doesn’t matter if you don’t have much powder experience, as you’ll get free heli-ski and heli-board hire on your heli days, and the advancement in customised powder skis and boards makes powder riding a dream!
We’ve chosen Panorama for it’s exceptional lift-accessible backcountry terrain. The Taynton bowl is a 750 acre off-piste paradise accessed by the Summit Quad lift. Previously an area only accessible by helicopter, the Taynton Bowl is now within bounds, and avalanche controlled making it the perfect area to practice powder technique and prepare for your 3 days heli-skiing. Warm-up your legs firsts, though, as Taynton is an exclusively a black and double black diamond area!
The rest of the resort is 75% intermediate and beginner terrain, so there is plenty to ski and snowboard for those who are working their way up to the steeps and deeps of pristine powder.

Back country skiing with virtually no one else on the hill, I think the longest we waited in a lift line was when I need to adjust my boots, amazing. Clear blue skies and easily some of the best off piste skiing I’ve ever done. Give Winter Sports a call...
