What does Queenstown have to offer?

Queenstown, sits on the shores of the South Island’s Lake Wakatipu, set against the dramatic Southern Alps. Renowned for adventure sports. As well as being a stone’s throw away from the resorts you will be training at, there is also a plethora of high adrenaline activities to do such as bungee jumping and white water rafting.

Queenstown is home to New Zealand’s best ski fields. Offering one of the longest seasons in the Southern Hemisphere, with four ski areas within easy access, quality snow and terrain for all levels of skier and snowboarder!  Queenstown welcomes skiers and snowboarders from June to October, with an average seasonal snowfall of 2 metres.

Queenstown is the adventure capital of the world. Right in the heart of New Zealand’s South Island and surrounded by snow-capped mountains, here you have access to two of the best ski resorts in the southern hemisphere, Coronet Peak and The Remarkables. Both resorts are stunningly beautiful places to ski or snowboard!

The New Zealand ski season runs from late June to early October. Winter Sports ski and snowboard instructor programmes in Queenstown allow you to train and qualify through the European summer, ready to work the following European winter in Europe or Canada.

Queenstown – Two Resorts

Choose from two amazing resorts to train at. Training covers all-mountain terrain and conditions. Coronet Peak is renowned for groomed intermediate runs and its roller-coaster terrain. The Remarkable’s has more expert terrain and is the go-to resort for thrill-seekers. ‘The Stash’ is a world-famous thrill-filled gully where you can shred, jib, and ride the walls to your heart’s content.

Winter Sports NZSIA and SBINZ instructor courses are a fantastic way to train and qualify during the European summer in time to get a job in the European winter season. Highly respected NZSIA examiners provide training and unique insights into the governing body and support students through training weeks to the exams.
