WSCollective is an optional content programme running alongside your winter with Winter Sports Company.

It’s designed to capture the real story of a season in Canada – training days, exams, work, progress, setbacks, good days and bad ones – and to reward people who help document that experience.

You choose how involved you want to be.

You can take part casually or commit more time.

Effort is rewarded fairly.

This is not an influencer programme.

Phone photos and videos are expected.

No posting schedule. No pressure.

TABLE SUMMARY- HOW IT WORKS

1. Onboarding 2. Weekly Task Structure 3. Rewards & Incentives 4. Rules of Engagement

Enrolment
You’ll be added into the WSCollective WhatsApp group for your resort to join the programme.

Community Access
Once added to the Winter Sports Collective WhatsApp group, you’ll be sent all challenges and updates weekly.

New challenges are posted at the start of each week.

Three Task Levels
Participants can choose which levels to complete. Higher levels require more effort but come with greater rewards.

Level 1 – The Snapper
Example: Submit your best 6 best photos from your time on the slopes.

Level 2 – The Storyteller
Example: Post a Reel or short video on a set topic.

Level 3 – The Creator
Example: Write blogs, film vlogs, Case Study, Testimonials or produce short highlight videos that can be featured on the website and social media.

Participation is optional, and students are free to complete any combination of levels. Do as much or as little as you like.

Level Prizes

Each complete task will earn an agreed number of credits!

Credits System

  • Level 1 Task = 1 Credit
  • Level 2 Task = 2 Credits
  • Level 3 Tasks = 3 Credits

• Each credit adds the participant’s name to a roulette wheel drawn in Week 4 to determine the monthly Grand Prize winner.

Content Submission Guidelines

Photos & Videos: All media must be uploaded to the dedicated Google Photos drive shared at the start of the season.
Blogs: Must follow the official template and guidelines provided by the marketing team each week. Please enquire directly for a Blog template if doing Level 3 tasks.
Reels: Must include the approved hashtags and tag The Winter Sports Company and put us as a collaborator on your posts.

Content Quality Standards

• All submissions must meet quality expectations for website and social media use.
• Low-quality submissions may be rejected.

FULL INSTRUCTIONS

How It Works

  • WSCollective runs in monthly cycles

  • Each month includes weekly content challenges

  • You choose which challenges to complete

  • Approved content earns credits

  • Credits = entries into a monthly prize draw

You don’t need to do everything.

You can skip weeks.

You can join late.

Monthly Structure

Each month follows the same rhythm:

Weeks 1–3 – Content Weeks

  • New challenges released weekly

  • You may complete any or all tasks

  • Credits are awarded for approved content

Week 4 – Admin & Draw

  • Submissions are reviewed

  • Credits are finalised

  • Leaderboards are updated

  • Monthly prize draw takes place

  • Cycle resets for the next month

The Three Challenge Levels

You can sign up for one, two, or all three levels and switch between them at any time. You can pair up, create a team or work solo. Monthly prizes are awarded by a draw. Every credit you earn gives you another entry, so the more you contribute, the better your chances.

Wild-card weeks-will be any format, any theme, any creativity judged loosely.

Level 1 – Snapper (Photos)

For people who like capturing moments.

What you do

  • One weekly photo theme

  • Upload 6–10 good-quality photos

  • Training, resort life, behind-the-scenes, real moments

Reward

  • 1 credit per completed task

Level 2 – Storyteller (Short Video)

For people who like quick video content.

What you do

  • One weekly video theme

  • Either:

    • 10 short clips suitable for reels, or

    • 1 completed reel

  • Shot on your phone is perfect

Reward

  • 2 credits per completed task

Level 3 – Creator (Deeper Content)

For people who enjoy reflecting and explaining things properly.

What you do

  • One monthly topic

  • Choose from:

    • Blog

    • Vlog

    • Case study

    • Testimonial & Reviews

  • Prompts and guidance are provided

Reward

  • 3 credits per completed piece

Frequently Asked Questions

If you dont find your answers to your questions here then simply send us an email or on the WSCollective  Whats App Chat group.

Do I have to take part?

No. WSCollective is completely optional.

If you want to focus purely on training, work, and enjoying your season, that’s absolutely fine. This is here for people who want to document their experience and maybe get something back for it.

Do I need to be good at social media?

No.

You don’t need:

  • A big following

  • Editing skills

  • Fancy equipment

Phone photos and videos are expected. This is about capturing real moments, not polished influencer content.

Do I have to be on camera?

No.

Level 1 (Snapper) is photo-based only.

Even at Level 2 or 3, you can film surroundings, POV shots, or talk behind the camera if you prefer.

Can I join late?

Yes.

You can join at any point during the season.

Missing weeks doesn’t matter and there’s no disadvantage to starting later.

How much time does this take each week?

As much or as little as you want.

Rough guide:

  • Level 1: 5–10 minutes (you’re probably taking the photos anyway)

  • Level 2: 15–30 minutes

  • Level 3: Longer, but only once per month

There’s no expectation to do everything.

Can I do more than one role?

Yes.

You can:

  • Stick to one role

  • Mix roles

  • Change roles week to week

Credits stack regardless of which role they come from.

Can I submit older photos or videos?

Yes, if they fit the task.

You don’t need to film everything on the same day the task is released. If something from earlier in the week (or even earlier in the season) fits the brief, that’s fine.

How do credits actually work?

Think of credits as entries.

  • Every approved task earns credits

  • Every credit = one entry into the monthly draw

  • More credits = better odds

Credits improve your chances, but they don’t guarantee anything.

How are winners chosen?

Monthly prizes are awarded by a credit-weighted draw.

This means:

  • Effort matters

  • Resort size doesn’t matter

  • No single “winner takes all” league table

Leaderboards show progress, not winners.

Why bother with leaderboards if it’s a draw?

Leaderboards are there for:

  • Motivation

  • Visibility

  • Momentum

They show who’s active, not who’s guaranteed to win.

Your leaderboard position simply reflects how many entries you have.

Are prizes paid per resort?

No.

Monthly prizes are awarded across all resorts combined.

This keeps things fair and avoids some resorts having an advantage just because they’re bigger.

What are the monthly prizes?

Each month:

  • 1st place (draw): up to $1,000 CAD

  • 2nd place (draw): up to $250 CAD
  • 3rd place (draw): up to $80 CAD

All values are in CAD and paid into your account.
*If uptake is lower than expected, we will split the top prize to two lucky equal winners.

Is any content paid?

Most tasks earn credits only.

On the odd occasion:

  • A specific Level 2 or Level 3 task may be paid or carry an individual one off prize.

  • This will always be stated clearly in advance

  • There will always be a cap

Anything beyond the paid limit still earns credits. *Future paid positions proving content within the company will be available to a select few.

Why do uploads have to go to Google Photos?

Because Instagram isn’t storage.

Google Photos:

  • Keeps full-quality originals

  • Prevents content getting lost

  • Allows us to reuse content later (website, guides, future seasons)

You’re welcome to post on Instagram and tag us.

For WSCollective credits and long-term use, we still need the original upload.

Can I submit content via WhatsApp?

No.

WhatsApp is for:

  • Announcements

  • Leaderboards

  • Prize updates

  • minimal chat

Content sent via WhatsApp won’t be counted.

What happens if my content is rejected?

Rejected content:

  • Doesn’t earn credits

  • Will be explained privately

  • Can usually be resubmitted if before the deadline

We don’t call people out publicly.

What kind of content gets rejected?

Content may be rejected if it’s:

  • Very blurry or dark

  • Unsafe or inappropriate

  • Off-theme

  • Using copyrighted music or images

We’re looking for usable content, not perfection.

Who sees my content?

Initially, only the WSCollective team.

Some content may later be:

  • Shared on WSC social channels

  • Used on the website

  • Included in blogs or guides

We credit creators where practical.

Do I lose ownership of my content?

No.

You keep ownership of your content.

By uploading, you’re giving WSC permission to reuse it.

If you ever want something removed, just tell us.

Can I team up with someone?

Yes.

You can:

  • Work solo

  • Pair up

  • Collaborate with course mates

Just make sure it’s clear who’s involved in the submission. In fact working as a pair might produce faster results.

What happens at the end of the season?

Credits earned across the whole season are tracked.

Top contributors may be considered for:

  • Ambassador features

  • Paid content opportunities

  • Branded kit

  • Written references

  • Increased referral benefits

This is based on consistency and quality over time.

What if I have a question that’s not answered here?

Ask.

You can:

  • Message the WSCollective team

  • Speak to your resort rep

  • Raise it in person

If something isn’t clear, we’d rather explain it properly than have people guessing.

Credits, Leaderboards & Fairness

Credits

  • Credits are earned for approved content

  • You can earn credits from any level

  • Credits accumulate across the month

Each credit equals one entry into the monthly prize draw.

More credits = better odds

More credits increases your chances of winning.

Weekly Leaderboards

  • Reset every week

  • Visible within your resort only

  • Used to show momentum, not decide prizes

Top 3 each week earn bonus credits:

  • 1st: +3 credits

  • 2nd: +2 credits

  • 3rd: +1 credit

Monthly Leaderboards

  • Track credits across Weeks 1–3 in your resort only

  • Include bonus credits

  • Used for progress visibility only

Leaderboard position does not decide the winner.

It only increases your number of draw entries.

Monthly Prizes

Each month, prizes are awarded across all resorts combined:

  • 1st place (draw): $1,000 CAD

  • 2nd place (draw): $250 CAD
  • 3rd place (draw): $80 CAD

Winners are selected by a credit-weighted draw.

This system:

  • Rewards effort

  • Keeps things fair across resorts

  • Avoids a winner-takes-all league table

All values are in CAD$
