I had a fabulous season in Sun Peaks, completing my CASI Snowboard Instructor Level 1 and 2, and also my CSIA Ski Instructor Level 1 and 2. Wintersports also arranged for me to do the Avalanche Safety Training Level 1 and the Adaptive Sports Level 1, so it was a full packed 18 weeks. Once I passed my adaptive sports, I was able to volunteer to instruct for the last 5 Sundays of the season, which was both rewarding and gave me some real instructional experience. I also had great fun with the rest of the guys on the course and made some amazing friends. Thanks Wintersports!

Peter Clague

I really enjoyed the 18 weeks of training, even though some weeks could feel quite intense with homework and studying. To become dual-certified in one season was amazing. I completed 107 days on the mountain so it is fairly physically demanding, and pre-course fitness is a must. I loved meeting Rob, Beth and Steve from Wintersports and all the people on the course at Sun Peaks. At 47, I was worried I would be too old, but everyone got on great, regardless of age, and some Level 3 people were in their 60’s, showing that you are never too old. Whilst the actual town of Sun Peaks can feel tiny, it is great because you always bump into friends, can meet instructors in the bars and also make friends in the town. Jardines in the town really looked after us for all our equipment needs, and their end of season sale was amazing.
