Join our BASI 10 week Ski Instructor Course in Verbier and train with experienced BASI level 4 ISTD instructors in the Swiss Alps. You'll spend 10 weeks living in Verbier, the gateway to the 4 Valleys, and enjoy the huge 410km ski area. On this ski instructor course in Switzerland you will make friends for life and gain invaluable experience from your instructors and examiners. This BASI course includes training, accommodation, lift pass, meals, exam fees and more.
Meal Plan
Breakfast and evening meals are served 5 days per week, typically Monday - Friday.
Meals are served in the chalet, with a continental breakfast each day and a cooked breakfast once per week. Dietary requirements are accomodated.
Season lift pass
Your lift pass is season long, and covers the whole 4 Valleys area 400km of skiable area and if you decide to add additional weeks to your course, or return to resort, your lift pass will continue to be valid.
Resort Support
A member of the team is in resort to oversee the course. Reps are knowledgeable about the resort, qualifications and training, and have often taken part on the course previously.

BASI qualifications are recognised world-wide including America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Switzerland, Austria and Italy. This programme is the ideal option for gap years and those aiming to have a career in the ski industry. Level 2 is the minimum standard for employment outside the UK, so it is essential for any budding instructor wanting to work in an open mountain environment.
During this course you will become an associate member of BASI and will complete the BASI Alpine Level 1 and 2 Ski Instructor Course exams. Upon successful qualification you will receive your BASI ski instructor licence.
This BASI ski instructor course is delivered by highly qualified level 4 trainers. Winter Sports Company has partnered with Altitude ski school in Verbier for their highly regarded instructors whose experience, skills, knowledge and expertise are second to none.

We provide all our students with career advice throughout the course, which can be especially important if this is a new career move for you!
Ski instructors are in high demand at peak periods including February half term and Easter, so there is plenty of potential for work after your course. At the end of the course, successful candidates who achieve BASI level 2 will be offered an interview for ski instructor work.
Peak week jobs include teaching a variety of lessons from beginners to high-end intermediates.
The 4 Valleys ski area provide over 400km of piste all on your one ski pass. Verbier is the perfect place for training to be a ski instructor, with runs for all abilities. Looking to explore the mountain? Verbier is famous for legendary off-piste runs and is a great place to improve free ride and powder skiing.
*A requirement of holding a BASI licence is that you have a basic Criminal Record Disclosure. These are issued by Disclosure Scotland and need to be applied for before you start your course.
