Employability in the industry increases dramatically once you reach the international equivalence standard of level 2 – this is why most of our courses are level 1 & 2 combined. CSIA – Canadian Ski Instructor Alliance

The CSIA is governing body for ski instructor qualifications in Canada and has over 30,000 members. They are recognized by the ISIA (International Ski Instructors Association) and its four levels of ski instructor qualifications are highly regarded.

CASI – Canadian Snowboard Instructors

The aim of CASI is to train and certify snowboard instructors. It maintains a national standard of safe and efficient snowboard instruction to serve the Canadian snowboarding public and the ski/snowboarding industry.

NZSIA – New Zealand Ski Instructor Alliance

The New Zealand Snowsports Instructors Alliance (NZSIA) was established in 1971 to train, examine and qualify snowsports instructors and coaches to an internationally recognised standard.

SBINZ – Snowboard Instructors New Zealand

SBINZ are responsible for all snowboard instructor training and certification in New Zealand. They are internationally renowned for producing professional and knowledgeable instructors.

BASI – British Snowsports Instructors

Founded in 1963 the British Association of Snowsports Instructors (BASI) is the UK national training and grading provider for professional snowsport instructing and coaching qualifications.

ISIA – International Ski Instructor Association

Formed in 1971 the ISIA is the world body for professional ski instructors, representing the best in ski instruction around the world. All instructor qualifications Winter Sports Company offer are ISIA affiliated.

Ski Patrol Qualifications

Ski Patrollers have been on Canadian mountains since the 1940s. Ski Patrol is a respected and highly qualified on-mountain job, and our Ski Patrol courses covers all modules and qualifications to be a certified ski patroller in resorts all over the world.

Canadian Adaptive sports

Canadian Adaptive Snowsports (CADS) is a national organisation recognised nationally and internationally for its leadership in adaptive snowsports. CADS provides opportunities for more people with disabilities to safely experience adaptive snow sports.

Avalanche Skills Training

Avalanche Canada is dedicated to public avalanche safety. Avalanche awareness and education programs are important to ensure individuals can understand, recognise and avoid avalanche hazards. Avalanche Canada provide avalanche safety information and coordinate awareness and education programs.

Canadian Ski Coaches

ACA-CSC coach education programming links directly with Alpine Canada’s Long Term Athlete Development stages of growth and skill development. At each program level, coaches acquire knowledge and skills necessary to meet growth and skill development needs of the athlete.
